WCMF 2026: Three Nights at Windsor Park, and a Bed Within Walking Distance

The 26th World Creole Music Festival takes over Windsor Park Sports Stadium on 23, 24 and 25 October 2026. Three nights, one stage, and a lineup of Dominican, regional and international acts announced at the festival launch in July.

What the poster does not tell you is that the festival is really a month. Creole Heritage Month runs through October and into Independence at the start of November, and fringe events cluster in the weeks either side of the main weekend. Ti Villaj Kweyol, Wato, White Sunset and Rize and Whine are worth building a trip around rather than squeezing in.

Two practical notes. October is wet season, so bring a light rain jacket and expect to be standing on grass. Tickets go through the official Dominica Festivals channels, and it is worth buying early, because availability tightens as the dates close in.

And then the part nobody puts on the poster: getting home. Shows run late, the roads out of Roseau fill up, and a bed an hour into the hills stops feeling clever at two in the morning.

Rose St Gardens sits in Goodwill, within walking distance of the stadium. Four rooms, a studio, and the option to book the whole house if you are travelling with a group, which for festival weekend is usually the smarter call.

Festival weekend is the busiest of our year, and small properties fill first. Message us to check availability before the lineup does its work.
